Background and requirements
- Storage of materials on pallets directly in the production hall
- Even materials not immediately needed are kept in the production area
- Employees must retrieve materials from the warehouse on their own
- Long distances between the warehouse and the assembly area (approx. 130 meters)
- Goal: Reduce pallet inventory at workstations and improve the efficiency of material supply
